Mercer University honored Emily P. Myers, the first woman to become a Vice President at Mercer, for her extraordinary service to the University in a special presentation at the 44th annual banquet of The President’s Club. After serving 29 years as Senior Vice President of University Advancement and External Affairs at Mercer, Ms. Myers was invited to become President of Jon McRae & Associates in August 2008.  

Mercer President William D. Underwood presented Ms. Myers with a framed proclamation. Senior Vice President Richard V. Swindle also announced her portrait will hang in the University Center, since she played a significant role in the design of this signature facility on the Macon campus. She received two standing ovations during the presentation and announcement.

The President’s Club of Mercer University, established in 1964, recognizes alumni and friends who provide substantial support to the University.
